Written: Saturday, February 24, 2007 (Flip…flip…flip) ~SUPERDAN from page 1 As for my first match back? Well, Mr. Beaumont has filled me in and it seems that I’ll be getting to square off against the very man who I lost the North American title belt to and another guy who I’ve dealt with before the least amount of times, but enough to remember him well: Messiah and Dean Wallace. I wasn’t particularly thrilled when I found out that Messiah, in his greed, decided to abolish the North American title belt after winning it from me, just so he can go after the bigger prize. I mean I respect Messiah, but that just stinks. That’s the kind of thing my old nemesis, Matt Reyes used to do; as soon as he would achieve something small, he wouldn’t “waste” his energy on celebrating it, but just throw it aside and go after the next one after that. Hey I don’t mind setting your sights as high as you can go, but I mean stop and smell the roses once in a while. I tried to tell Reyes that, but he just ignored me or made up some bogus reason to justify his actions. But I look forward to my little reunion with Messiah so I can tell him, or rather SHOW him, in person, how they made me feel. And rest assured, I will wear gold again, and when I do, I can assure Mr. Boon that lunch will be on ME next time! Then there’s “The Prime Example”, Dean Wallace, a guy who for as long as I can remember, let’s his temper tantrums clog up that already messed up head of his. I’m sure losing that epic confrontation with Harbinger during the last show didn’t do much to help his ego. Then I hear that he had been playing baseball for a while, and doing quite well as a pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Big deal! Well no actually, I gotta give it to him there. That is quite an accomplishment and I think I have since developed a newfound respect for the guy because of that. A side of Dean I didn’t think existed, one of pure passion and desire for his true dream, had shown itself right then and there. I guess he isn’t the one-dimensional nutcase I had believed him to be all that time. But now that we’re back in Mercury, it’ll be my turn to pitch to him, and see if he can still hit as hard as he used to or if it will indeed be 1, 2, 3 taps he’s out to the ol-Sharp-shooter! And as for my partner, Keith Summers, well he and I were kind of on a “revolving door” basis: as he was heading out, I was coming in, then he came back and started reclaiming some of his thunder that made him a superstar. So we really never got to do that much together, but come the return show, I’m looking forward to having a great match with him as my partner. Peace and Prosperity to you all!
